hi i have a bluetooth dongle and a program to serach all the devices using bluetooth,
but the problem is findFirstDevice () function always returns null so it fails in searching but, i know that micrososft will support only a few dongles, mine is broadcom bcm2045a, but is there any alternative than this i came to know that we can use serial communication, but i have a doubt that by using serial com can we able to discover the devices and also can we able to connect to specified device... and if u have any code and tutorials related to this topic plz provide me the link...

I know your pain...
You would think that bluetooth communication between different devices would be painless. It isn't. Faced with the problem some time ago, I started looking at creating drivers for the most popular bluetooth stacks - you can get SDK for Widcomm/Broadcomm, Blue Soleil, etc. for free, but all have a different API...
However, I happened to come accross a framework that made my task much simpler -

It is free to try, but you have to pay if you want to use it commercially...

I try to access to a Bluetooth GPS data-logger with Python. I use
pySerial.
Sending and receiving little messages (~100 char) works fine. However,
when I ask the GPS to dump the trails, it returns some Mbytes and here
is the problem : in the stream of bytes, I randomly losts chunks of
