INTRODUCTION One of the most powerful aspects of .NET and Windows Forms is data binding. Data binding is the process of associating user interface (UI) elements with a data source to generate a visual representation of data. Two types of data binding are available for Windows Forms: Simple Data Binding and Complex Data Binding. Simple data binding allows you to bind one data element to a control. In many situations you want to display...

Hi, I'm using a ComboBox, some Textboxes, and a DataGrid to represent a many-to-many relationship between Person and Course. Each time that I change the value in the ComboBox (which for now is the OID of Person), the information of the person matching the selected OID is shown in the Textboxes (Name, Address, id, etc) and the courses this person is taken are shown in a DataGrid (course name, price, etc.). This is working well so far, I...

Hi, I'm able to make connection to a server using socket connection. However, when I send a command string the server just ignores it. All command string needs to start with "0xF9" at Byte 0. During the run-time debug, I see it to be "u" with a "~" on top of it. Is that OxF9? Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks, Alpha private void Connect(String server, String message) { //Socket Connect

I have data from multiple SQL tables, some of the tables will only have one row, while others multiple rows. I load a bunch of data from the various tables and add them to a third party grid. With some of the rows, I perform calculations on some of the rows and all this is loaded into the grid as well. I am trying to figure out the best way to store all this data so that it is easier to work with and perform calculations as users edit the...

Hi all, I'm going to develop an ASP.net page (VB) that allows users to export data into the zip file. Do you have any sample codes? Please give me the source codes if you have. One more question, if we let users export data into Excel file, what is the good web control we can use ? Do we have to display data on the web page by binding data with datagrid (or GridView) for this download ?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
