Would anyone be willing to beta test my application for me and give me some
feedback? I can give you feedback in exchange (ie. if there are parts
you're interested in knowing how it was done) or I can give you a free
license if you want to use it.
It should install OK but that is part of the problem that needs to be
verified on all platforms so that people can just download it in the future,
install and use it.
It has an mde front...

For a personal Web site with modest throughput and interactivity
demans, I'm interested in your recommendation(s) for good (cheap,
reliable, Linux friendly, very little, if any, sponsor advertising) Web

Thanks!

I ran through the VB Guided Tour some time ago. In particular, the
"Managing Your Records: Using Data in Your Program" section:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/t25kbx0s(VS.80).aspx
This explains how to create a SQL database, which is stored as an .mdf
file:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms172599(VS.80).aspx
It is just 4 or 5 addresses being stored.
However, the database is 2,240 KB in size! To store 5 addresses? ...

I've created and deployed a VB.Net 2005 Application. I have it set as a
FullTrust (ClickOnce) application. The install point is on a network
server. I did not run into this issue at all while testing, but now that
the application is deployed about 1 in every 10 computers get this error
when they try to run the app. Any ideas? Everything I find on the web
talks about ASP.NET. This is not a webpage, it's a desktop application.

Let me see if this question even makes sense...I'm reading Core Python
Programming and I jumped ahead to the more specific topics like network
programming. I plan to follow along with the example in that chapter and
create a socket connection between my desktop and laptop.
However, these two computers are already connected on my home network
(using the Windows Network Setup Wizard), so I was wondering if this
will have any effect on what...

So...here we go. I'm having an issue with one computer on a network not being able to ping other computers by name. I've spent the last day searching similar issues and I've tried all the steps recommended. If anyone has some suggestions, I'd love to give them a try - this is driving me nuts!!
I am connected via wired-LAN to a Linksys WRT-600N router; there are 4 other computers on the network. The other 3 computers are working perfectly...

I hope I can explain this correctly.
BACKGROUND:
My office has a local network. We use a windows server 2003(small business server i think) computer to handle our domain.
So all of our employees computers are members of the domain.
We can ping them all. NSLOOKUP of the PC name works. NSLOOKUP of the ipaddress works (i had the reverse pointer records created)
On the server computer, we can open up the DHCP tool and see all the computers....

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
