Hi all,
I would like to write DOS program to change the MS Windows Sound
Recording source. When I run it with the parameter, it will change the
recording source as follow:
C:\> abc.exe microphone <- the Sound recording source change to
Microphone
C:\> abc.exe line <- the sound recording source change to Line-IN

I am searching for some sample source code to convert voice (or music) recorded
with a microphone into digital data.
As far as I know this must be an implementation of a Fourier Transformation algorithm.
Does someone know where such a source code is available?
Assembler code is welcomed as well.

computers.
i know how to send data between the computers via tcp/ip protocol and
sockets.
what i don't know is how to get my program to record sound from the
microphone.

I used DirectSound to record voice from microphone and the variable is
set up as:
Dim voiceBuffer() As Byte
As the voiceBuffer is in byte format, I cannot play the voice using
DirectSound through speakers.

Hi all,
Please, I developed a program to enable somebody send messages using WinSock OCX. It is working now but my boss wants me to add a facility that can stream voice through the network. Maybe two ways (like intercom) of one way (the user just speaks into the microphone and it is sent to all workstations.
