3 New Member
How do you convert a character array into a integer array? For example:
If the character array is entered as'12' then how can get an integer array that contains the integers 1 and 2?

Subtract ascii value of 0 to each element in character element and store in integer array.

I'm currently working on converting a simulator program from Visual Basic 6.0 to Visual C++ .NET. I've figured out most of the stuff, but there's still one thing I haven't gotten to and I've never really had to deal with it before. I'm programming a front-end for what is a compiled Fortran program. The VB source does the following to call the Fortran: 'Defines the subroutine. Declare Sub Cycle_DW Lib "cycdw.dll" Alias "CYCDW" (ByRef...

Hi, Does C have some handy functions to convert chars, ints and floats to bit arrays? I need to store that stuff binary so a few functions would be great. Converting chars and ints isn't difficult but floats are giving me a headache. And how about converting them back? I need a function like : <bitarray> convertFloatToBits( <number>, <signed or not>, <length default at 32 bits> ) By the way, the C program has to be suitable for a...

I note that you can null teminate a string by adding controlchar.null. Is there a way of adding a null to a Buffer of Bytes and converting it to a string. I have packets coming in from a serial ports as bytes and some of these represent strings. (Like the Packed BCD date/time stamp etc). At present I read through each Byte and convert to char and append to a string.

Hi everyone, I am trying to implement some specs which specify that an array of parameter is passed to a function as a pointer to an array terminated by a NULL chatacter. That seemed fairly easy to implement. I had a special Malloc function that would allocated the number of needed bytes for the objects i needed to store + 1 additional byte to save the NULL character /*!

I found nice realtime fluid simulation code created with c++. I converted it to vb.net but i have run into trouble. You can find original c++ code here: http://www.dgp.toronto.edu/people/st...DROM_GDC03.zip . Here's my vb.net solver part of code: Sub set_bnd(ByVal N As Integer, ByVal b As Integer, ByVal x(,) As Single) Dim i As Integer For i = 1 To (N + 1) If b = 1 Then

Hi all, I am trying a program to convert floating point values to a byte array and printing the same to the screen. The idea behind this is we already have an existing function which can do byte level parsing what ever may be the type of data. The data would be coming from an external environment. When I parse int, char at byte level,I get right values, where as floating point just prints 0.000000 to the screen.Given below is a sample program...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
