I'm trying to create Python parser/interpreter using ANTLR.
Reading grammar from language refference I found:
or_expr::= xor_expr | or_expr "|" xor_expr
For me it looks like infinite recursion. And so it says ANTLR. Maybe I
don't understand EBNF notation. For me it should look like this.
or_expr::= xor_expr | xor_expr "|" xor_expr
and in...

I am currently in India and have treated myself to the Indian reprint
of O'Reilly's "C++ In A Nutshell". (Books in India come in at 1/3 to
1/2 of the price in Britain.)
I thought that I would have a look at what Chapter 12 on grammar says
about Declarations and Definitions. Now I'm more baffled than when I
started.
Here's the problem.

Hello,
I have a question about the correctness of the language grammar for the C#
2.0 specification. I am working with the grammar specified in the June 2005
ECMA-334 standard.
Basically, a using-namespace-directive is defined as follows:
using-namespace-directive:
using namespace-name ;

I am trying to come up with a grammar that describes the following:
record = f1,f2,...,fn END_RECORD
All the f(i) has to be in that order.
Any f(i) can be absent (e.g. f1,,f3,f4,,f6 END_RECORD)
Number of f(i)'s can vary. For example, the followings are allowed:
f1,f2 END_RECORD
f1,f2,,f4,,f6 END_RECORD
Any suggestions?

Hi all,
I'm trying to work out a parser for function declarations but it turns
out that it is harder than I initially thought.
I'm looking at 3rd Ed of Stroustrup, page 808.
I'm trying to parse something like:
int foo(int, int);
const double *xpto(mytype *, mytype &) const;
But I'm not being able to find my way around the grammar.

Hello... I'm using the grammar at:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/csspec/html/vclrfcsharpspec_c.asp
as a reference in creating my own C# parser using a custom framework.
(Please let me know if there's a better group to post in.)
Some questions:
(1) Is this grammar specification known to be complete and...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...

I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
