Hi !
I'm wondering about the use of the 'using' statement.
In a procedure, should i declare all instance variables in a using
clause ?
In the below code, what would happen if MyFont & MyFont2 would be
declared in the body of the Main() and not inside the using (even not
referenced in the using) ? Would be there something to call to dispose
them ?

Hey Folks,
I am getting the following errors when I try to connect to my db with
the MySqlConnection. I added MySql.Data to my Reference list and have
the .dll in my bin directory. I also have "using
MySql.Data.MySqlClient;". I know it's not my connection string because
it works when I use an OdbcConnection. The error points to this line:
MySqlConnection conn = new MySqlConnection(ConnString);

How do I configure a .NET 2.0 SoundPlayer object to play a WAV file embedded
as a resource?
I have tried the example in the MSDN documentation, and I am getting
nowhere. Is there a simple example of how to do this, or can someone provide
an example? Thanks.

Hey All,
I am building a solution which will have many strings that will need to be
localized (i.e. strings for toolbars, strings for different WinForms,
strings for messages and error messages, etc.).
I am having trouble accessing string file resources.
What I want to do is to break out strings into separate files so that they
are easier to manage and such that I don't have to look through hundreds to

I am just investigating on .resx and .resource files using asp.net. I
am attempting to develop a webpage in Dreamweaver on an asp.net
webserver. As i read around the net, using a .resource file for all
my text on my website seems like the best way to go. I would just
have a fr.resource file for each language. This seems like it would
work pretty well. I have been able to create the .resource files but
i do not know how to read them to...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
