I haven't read the most recent license but the license that covered
VS2003 specifically allowed for home use by a developer who was
licensed through their employer.
It may have changed now that the Express editions are available and
free, but in any case it's worth looking into.

I think Visual Studio is a great tool, but as this (for me) is provided by
my employer I can't technically use it at home for private "fun" purposes.
What about Turbo c#?
