Oracle and Properties

Dom
I use SqlCommand.Properties pretty often. I have to use Oracle as a
backend now, so I thought I would use OleDbCommand.Properties. Guess
what? It doesn't work. Should I assume that this has something to do
with Oracle, or am I doing something wrong?

You really should be using the Oracle provider in any case, not OleDb.

Well, I've done some research, and I found a lot of code that begins
with "Using Oracle.DataAccess.Client. But I can't get that in my
version of Visual Studio. I found at the Oracle site a place to
download the Oracle Provider. Can you help me out? Do I just
download and install it? Is there any downside to this? I generally
don't like doing things like this until I know what I'm getting.
