SMTP message to file

What is the easiest way to save a copy of SMTP email messages to a file?

I have an application which sends out SMTP messages with an attachment and I
would like to save a copy of these messages, kind of like when you Save As
message in Outlook or Outlook Express and when you double click on this
message it opens up in Outlook. I am using System.Net.Mail assembly.

Is there an assembly or a library that does this for you?

Hi Peter,

The .MSG file format used by Outlook is not public and it's a binary file
format.

The .EML file format used by Outlook Express is possible to create via C#,
for example, you can find a library here:
