Setting Controls in a Formview

I currently have a formview on my WebFOrm with 3 templates, however on
the InsertItemTemplate i want to preset the value of one of my controls
depening on a value is the session object.

I have tried the following with no success.

// Changes to the insert template
fvTicketEntry.ChangeMode(FormViewMode.Insert);

((TextBox)fvTicketEntry.Row.FindControl("txtTitle" )).Text = "Test Text";

From the quickwatch the Text value is populated however on the form it
is still empty.

Any help would be appreciated
