I keyed in the example for MS Knowledgebase Article:
Remoting Example: Hosting in Internet Information Services (IIS)
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/c2swb8ah.aspx
It works for the most part, however I run across 1 glitch I caught in a
try / catch block:
//
// Code Section on ServerClass.cs:
//
// Use the HttpContext to acquire what IIS thinks the client's identity
is.
string temp = HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.Name;
//
// Error that surfaces when method is called:
//
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance
of an object.
It's basically throwing on the "HttpContext..." portion. This is all
on my LocalHost box. I haven't bumped it up to a Remote Server yet.
Any ideas why this exception is thrown, and how I might be able to fix
it?
