How to change registry values with setup project

Hi all,

I've created a setup project for my app in VS2003 and need to set up
some registry values and keys.

It is easy enough to just create static keys with static values, but
I'd like the installer to run through a number of custom screens with
custom controls. I'd like those contols' values to be saved to the
registry.

I've managed to create the screens by adding some CheckBox and Textbox
dialogs, but now I need those values to go into the registry.

Example:
I added the "Checkboxes (A)" dialog and changed the Checkbox1Property
to CBTEST.
Then I go into vs's the registry editor and I create a bit key with
value [CBTEST].
When I compile, I get the standard error message:
"Registry Value 'changed' located in 'HKLM\Software\...\...' must
contain even number of hexadecimal characters"

Any ideas?
