Hello:
After a bit of research it seems that .NET only has partial support for
working with digital certificates. What I am trying to do is the following:
Given an x509 version 3 cert:
1. open it,
2. extract ALL the key usage information,
3. return that information.
So far, I have learned that
[System.Security.Cryptography.X509Certificates] does not support geting
at the v3 key usage stuff and that the Web Services Enhancements (WSE)
2.0 SP1 for Microsoft .NET [Microsoft.Web.Services2.Security.X509] only
provides methods to check for digital signature and encipherment--I also
need, at least "exchange".
I'd really like to stay within the .NET framework, but example code
calling COM stuff would also be very helpful.
Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance,
-John
By the way, for those of you who may also be stuck:
