Jim
How are WDM drivers interfaced to C# apps? Normally, we go through

Hi all, I was wondering if anybody knew if it was at all possible to install old odbc drivers (approx ver 3.5) instead of the standard windows XP (ver 4.0)? The reason I need to use 3.5 is because a piece of old software is being used needs to use the older drivers because of its age. Ive tried to manually copy older drivers (win98)and...

Hi I'm running Windows 2000 and Office 2003. I want to copy tables from an unknown database format into Access 2.0 and I could do it quite easily if it weren't for the fact that recent ODBC-drivers aren't capable of writing into an Access 2.0 database (only reading). I do have the old Access 2.0 disks including odbc-driver, but it doesn't...

I can see them in the Registry (and in my XP control panel), but I have no idea how to find/open/use/get-access-to this code. And I can seem to find anything relevant in the MSDN KB. Can someone point me to the starting place for...

Hi, I need to install and uninstall device drivers programatically. I could register the .inf available. This helped in installing the drivers without the prompt for installation disc. However, I'm not able to find as to how these drivers can be uninstalled. I could remove the inf & pnf files created but the entry in the Device manager...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not.
