Hello All,
I'm posting this for the benefit of the search engines.

I've been developing web apps on my computer for about 18 months using VS2002.

This morning, I was showing a colleague how to set up a WebApp project. All went
well. I compiled the project then opened a browser and tried to navigate to the
page and I got the message listed below.

I did some newsgroup browsing and found that since I had both v1.0.3705 and
v1.1.4322 of the Framework installed, that I needed to re-register asp.net with
iis. It has been installed before, so I'm not sure how it became "unregistered".

So I drilled down to the aspnet_regiis.exe application folder
[c:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\] and ran
"aspnet_regiis.exe -i" to re-install the framework.

After that I recompiled and was able to see my form.

Bottom line: aspnet_regiis to re-register the farmework.

More importantly: does anyone know how/ why the framework "unregisters" iteself
from IIS?
