Hi,
Can someone please guide me as to how one reads group/user info of *nix
servers using PHP? Is it possible at all? I need to authenticate people
on a secure local website by looking at their group and user rights. Any

an automated import job using a file DSN. Everything resides locally
on a Windows XP machine. My process works fine on a test FM file with
no password, but with the real FM files, all password protected, it

How can I achieve setting group policies programmatically without using any
GUI.

Assuming that I need to know programmatically (VS C#) an User's, or Domain's, Password Policy parameters:
1) MinPasswordLength
2) PasswordHistoryLength
3) PasswordAttribute - COMPLEX
so far I’ve found a way to get the parameters 1) and 2), but not 3).

called "keywords". Is it possible to programmatically read the contents of
the keywords property using VBA?
I want to loop through a bunch of directories looking for pdfs that have
"foobar" in the keywords property.

We have our own set of users and passwords for our application and we want to
implement strong passwords.
My question is can you access the windows password policy settings in order
to validate a password the user has typed in?
Even if you cant use the password history for your own passwords, it would
still be useful to use the other settings like minimum length etc...

Can someone provide me with a code snippet of how to retrieve the password
policy for an instance of ADAM?
I have found a few articles that explain how to do this in Active Directory
but they don't appear to work for ADAM (the stated properties do not exist).
I would like to compare a password that is entered in my application against
