The conversion of a nvarchar data type to a datetime data type resulted in an out-of-range value

//where (DateTime.Now.T oString("dd-MM-yyyy HH:mm:ss")) - Convert.ToDateT ime(c.Docket_Da teRaised + ":00") > TimeSpan.FromMi nutes(60)
where (DateTime.Now - Convert.ToDateT ime(d.Docket_Da teRaised + ":00") > TimeSpan.FromMi nutes(2))
// where c.Docket_Status .Equals("Ea")

//DateTime.ParseE xact

// && !(c.Docket_Stat us == "CL" || c.Docket_Status == "Ca")
select new {d.Docket_Numbe r, d.Docket_DateRa ised, d.Docket_Machin e};

In Linq, you can apparently get a meaningful body from and expression's .ToString(); random question - does anybody know if linq also includes a parser? It just seemed it might be a handy way to write a safe but easy implementation (i.e. no codedom) for an IBindingListView.Filter (by compiling to a Predicate<T>). Anybody know if this is possible at all? Marc

Hi! Testing som Linq-expressions and tried to measure performance and compare it to pre-Linq programming. The folloing two methods are functional equal but the non-Linq one is twice as fast. public List<ConferenceRoomOldWay(int minimumSeatingCapacity) {

Hello, I am trying to work with MS SQL Server 7 from the release version of Visual Studio 2008 + LINQ to SQL. And the problem is that the LINQ to SQL designer doesn't accept my tables saying that my connection provider is unsupported. Then I found out that LINQ to SQL officially supports only .NET Provider for SQL Server. The problem is that SQL Server 7 can't work with this provider, so I have to use the .NET Provider for OLE DB. Well,...

I have an existing set of tables which I have put into a Linq to SQL class. Those tables I have had no problems with. I have created some new tables and when I add them to the a new Linq to SQL I found that I could query, but when I use the InsertAllOnSubmit command to insert into the database the IDE (or the program) fails. So I look at the existing good application and see that the items defined there have a:

In testing I am adding / removing items using linq. Steps: 1. Add new item using InsertOnSubmit and SubmitChanges with no problem. 2. Remove the item using DeleteOnSubmit and SubmitChanges with no problem. 3. Attempt to add the just removed item. This results in the following

We’re storing our main entity in an insert only table which stores the history of past revisions, but we’re facing problems with storing this history as LINQ will only update the entity, and not reinsert it with a different revision number. Compounding the issue, we’ve also got an associated table storing properties for our entities which is not revisioned, but we still want changes to the children of our entity (additions, changes...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
