I'm searching for a "convinient" way to compile my source into a multifile
assembly (multiple files for one assembly). I need this to optimize
performance while loading the assembly over the internet (I want to keep the
files small and to download only the things that are needed).

In VS.2005 using VB.NET
There are two versions on every project, The Assembly Version
and the File Version.
Why are there two different versions?
As far as I can tell, there is not need for two versions.
The assembly is the file, isn't it?

I click on the MyProject and set up the Major, Minor, MajorRevision,
MinorRevision as 1,2,3,4 respectivly.
