OK, I want to scan a file for lines matching a certain regexp. I'd
like to use an assignment expression, like
for line in file:
if (g := re.match(pat, line)):
croggle(g.group(1))
Since there are no assignment expressions in Python, I have to use a
temp var. That's a little more messy, but bearable:

Does it mean "(sizeof(int))* (p)" or "sizeof( (int)(*p) )" ?
According to my analysis, operator sizeof, (type) and * have the same
precedence, and they combine from right to left. Then this expression should
equal to "sizeof( (int)(*p) )", but the compiler does NOT think so. Why?
Can anyone help me? Thanks.
Best regards.

I like using the expression builder for a lot of different things but it
isn't always available when I want to use it, for example in the code
window, or in all of the control properties. I am usually stuck having to go
into the database window, creating a new query, etc., and then
right-clicking in a field and selecting build.
Is there a shortcut key, a way to add a button to an Access toolbar, or
something like that so I can use to...

Hi,
I am replaceing a big string using different regular expressions (see
some example at the end of the message). The problem is whenever I
apply a "replace" it makes a new copy of string and I want to avoid
that. My question here is if there is a way to pass either a memory
stream or array of "find", "replace" expressions or any other way to
avoid multiple copies of a string.
Any help will be highly appreciated

In Linq, you can apparently get a meaningful body from and
expression's .ToString(); random question - does anybody know if linq
also includes a parser? It just seemed it might be a handy way to
write a safe but easy implementation (i.e. no codedom) for an
IBindingListView.Filter (by compiling to a Predicate<T>).
Anybody know if this is possible at all?

Hi!
The words "expression" and "statement" are often used in C99 and C-
textbooks, however, I am not sure of the clear defintion of these
words with respect to C.
Can somebody provide a sharp defintion of "expression" and
"statement"? What is the difference between an expression and a
statement?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
