Re: XMLCompiledTran sform unexpected behaviour

Kumar wrote:
I have some unknown problem with xmlcompiled transform class of asp.net 2.0
it's not giving the results I expected.

In asp.net 1.1 version it was giving good results with xmltransofrm class
for the same xml file and xslt file.

It's not giving any error in asp.net 2.0 but it's not transforming correctly.
Please provide details on the transformation result you expect and of
the transformation result you get and how it deviates.

Hi, I am observing unexpected behaviour, in the form of a corrupted class member access, from a simple C++ program that accesses an attribute declared in a virtual base class via a chain of virtual method calls. To further complicate (or perhaps simplify) matters, some compilers (GCC and MingW) produce the expected behaviour, while others (MSVS 7.1) do not. I can only offer two explanations for my observations: 1. The Microsoft...

I am using DevC++ 4.0 lately, which uses Mingw port of GCC, on a WinXP. I am surprised to see the malloc behaviour which is not consistent with the documentation. See the program and its output below. #include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h> int main(int argc, char *argv) {

In C# (and C++/cli) the destructor will be called even if an exception is thrown in the constructor. IMHO, this is unexpected behavior that can lead to an invalid system state. So beware! http://www.geocities.com/jeff_louie/oop30.htm Regards, Jeff *** Sent via Developersdex http://www.developersdex.com ***

I came across this unexpected behaviour of getattr for new style classes. Example: >>> class Parrot(object): .... thing = .... >>> getattr(Parrot, "thing") is Parrot.thing True >>> getattr(Parrot, "__dict__") is Parrot.__dict__ False

This regexp '<widget class=".*" id=".*">' works well with 'grep' for matching lines of the kind <widget class="GtkWindow" id="window1"> on a XML .glade file However that's not true for the re module in python, since this one takes the regexp as if were specified this way: '^<widget class=".*"

I have a bunch of csv files that have the following characteristics: - field delimiter is a comma - all fields quoted with double quotes - lines terminated by a *space* followed by a newline What surprised me was that the csv reader included the trailing space in the final field value returned, even though it is outside of the quotes.

hi to all! after two days debugging my code, i've come to the point that the problem was caused by an unexpected behaviour of python. or by lack of some information about the program, of course! i've stripped down the code to reproduce the problem: <code> a = {} for x in range(10):

HTMLParser is behaving in, what I find to be, strange ways and I would like to better understand what it is doing and why. First, it doesn't appear to translate HTML escape characters. I don't know the actual terminology but things like &amp; don't get translated into & as one would like. Furthermore, not only does HTMLParser not translate it properly, it seems to omit it altogether! This prevents me from even doing the translation...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
