Creating assembly from multiple files at runtime

I need to create assembly at runtime from multiple pre-compiled obj and cs
files embedded into
resource file. I have found only samples which create assembly from single
file like

Microsoft.CShar p.CSharpCodePro vider provider = new
Microsoft.CShar p.CSharpCodePro vider
(new Dictionary<stri ng, string>() { { "CompilerVersio n",
"v3.5" } });

CompilerParamet ers compilerParamet ers = new CompilerParamet ers {

GenerateInMemor y = true };

CompilerResults compilerResults =
provider.Compil eAssemblyFromSo urce(compilerPa rameters, code);
return compilerResults .CompiledAssemb ly;
How to create assembly from multiple files ?

See CompileAssembly FromFile, which takes multiple filenames.

However, they all need to be source files as far as I'm aware - not a
mixture of .cs and .obj files.

Is there a way to set the application binding policy so that it always binds to the latest version of an assembly? I'm hoping there is a way to avoid updating the application's binding configuration every time there is an update to a shared assembly.

I have script files embedded as resources in my dll. During runtime, I would like to write it out into the app dir (or a app sub-dir) and send the appropriate virtual path to the client. This makes deploying my dll much easier - just a single dll, not having to worry about deploying script files. However, the runtime doesn't seem have enough permissions to write out to the app dir (or any of it's subdir), by default. The folder where I...

Hello, I am trying to use vs.net 2005 to migrate a project originally in vs.net 2003. I started with creation of a "web site", and then created folders for each component of the site. I read somewhere that each folder under the "web site" is compiled in separate assembly. I however, did not find that the "web site" creation in vs.net 2005 created any AssemblyInfo.cs file.

Hi, I'm creating a CMS that I would like to be plug-in based with different plugins handling different kinds of content. What I really want is to be able to load/unload plugins on the fly without restarting the application. What I did was to create an AppDomain that loaded the plugins and everything was great, until I tried to pass something else that strings between the domains...

Maybe I haven't had that "a-ha" moment yet, but I think the new approach to web projects is a step in the wrong direction. My main beef is that control over the assembly generation process has been taken away from us! I also don't agree with the logic behind a web site not having a project file, but I'll save that for another thread! Here's our scenario: We have a web project that runs in a non-managed sharepoint directory. The web...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
