It is bad enough that you cannot be bothered to cross-post correctly. And
that you cannot be bothered to take advice with respect to the correct way
to write a "subject" line for your articles? But it's adding insult to
injury for you to keep posting the same thing repeatedly in the same
newsgroup.

Please, learn the proper etiquette for participating in this community.
It's one thing for someone new to Usenet to not know and need to be
taught. But your repeated refusal to get a clue is an insult to every
person who understands what it means to act as a polite member of society.

After several requests to stop with this in the past, you keep posting the
same question over and over again on the same NG and you keep multi-posting
to non relevant NG's, not to mention your long subject lines. I'm afraid you
will be ignored completely if you keep ignoring these requests.

Afraid? At this point, I'm hoping.

Every time someone actually posts an answer to his questions, a baby
Usenet dies, and just increases the odds that "DR" will sin again.

I wonder if he works for MySpace, or if the header is spoofed. The
netblock owner for the IP is certainly Fox, and myspace.com is on the
end of a traceroute to it.

Perhaps it's just a reflection of MySpace aesthetics...

Hi all, I have a fairly large Access2000 application (FE/BE). One of the subforms (in datasheet) has a dropdown list named BackSplash. It's a ValueList, not LimitToList, bound to the BackSplash field in the underlying query. The subform also (among various other fields) has a textbox named LineItemPrice. This is the last field in the datasheet. I enter a new value in the LineItemPrice field, and hit Tab to go the next row. In the...

I am writing a program which should keep running if not interrupted. While testing the program, I noticed that when the program was first run, the cpu usage (on WinXP) was between 0 to 2 %. In the next morning, the cpu usage had jumped to 100%. I observed the same behavior on two different machines. Since the program does repetitive jobs, there is no reason the cpu load should change. What would cause this kind of behavior? I have no...

Hi There, I have posted something previously regarding this issue, but I think I have some more concise questions to ask, and would like to get further feedback on this issue. Firstly the background. I have a small ASP.NET application under development. I'm using VS 2002 with Framework 1.1. One of the pages is a "resources" page that contains a list-box of various RSS feeds I am interested in surveying. As you select the different RSS...

Something odd is happening. Scripts on several sites that collect form data, save it to a DB, then redirect the user to another page are slowing to a crawl during the redirect using the header() function. For example: header("Location:member.php"). I tried changing the header() command in a few ways: header("Location:/member.php"), header("Location:./member.php"), header("Location:http://www.site.com/member.php"). But none of these made...

PerformanceCounterCategory.Create() takes 3 minutes to add a new category!! If I run PerformanceCounterCategory.Create() on my development machine it only takes a few seconds. But on remotely monitored machines it takes 3 minutes! Is this because the other machines are remotely monitored? Something else? What all can make PerformanceCounterCategory.Create() take 3 minutes to add a new category??

I have the same version of php running on our linux server as I have on my local xampp runing under windows. While working yesterday a piece of code I wrote just wouldn't work on the server, but ran fine under xampp. The code in question opened a file and reads in the contents line by line using a construct similar to this: if ($line != "") { $xmlString .= "<setup value\"$line\" />\n"; }

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
