Hi
I am creating some aspx files in Visual Studio 2003 for a Danish web
site.
The page is encoded as UTF-8 - However, when I save the the aspx file
as "UTF-8 without signature" the Danish characters Å Æ Ø are not
displayed correctly, when I choose to save the file as "UTF-8 with
signature" the characters are displayed correctly.

Hi All,
I need to upload an XML file via an client side ActiveX control. I
searched the web but everywhere got the samples of using file control alone.
How can I upload a file into my web server without using the <input type
="file" ....> control.
I need the same for Download also. Without displaying the Save as
dialog box. Why I am asking this is I am going to handle this with my Client
side ActiveX control.

Let's assume I have following file:
2938929384902491233.....
923949919199191919112....
File contains INTs only. What is more they are huge. For example first
row in file may contain integer which size is 50MB and the second 30MB.
Now we come to my problem. Is there possibility to swap this rows
without using system memory (preferably in Unix/Linux)? Is there any
function in C to do this?

Hi,
Can anyone explain how P/Invoke is able to cast the 32-bit HANDLE value
returned from CreateFile (for example) to a SafeFileHandle object?
Have a look at this code snippet from the .NET Framework Reference:

static extern SafeFileHandle CreateFile(

I built a VB.net application that makes use of a machine level DB
connection string setting, and a user level starting location setting.
The machine level setting and the default user based setting is of
course stored in the app.exe.config file located in the same directory
as the exe. Upon closing the form, I save the user setting which then
creates a user.config file in the appdata directory in my profile.
This is all well and good....

Hi,
I'd like to my WCF webservice to work both on SSL and without. Unfortunately searching has
led to dead ends, references to changes that only work on the old previous beta versions and
I admit I am rather confused and frustrated.
That being said, I'd like some direction in how exactly I'm supposed to accomplish this.
Thanks very much,
JK

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
