How to obtain the current user's MS Exchange server address?

Due to some connectivity problems with a client's VPN software, I'm
developing an app that needs to obtain the current logged user's
Exchange server address & add a new route (among other well-known
ones) to it in the computer's table, so Outlook 2003 can work
properly.

Is there any easy way to obtain that address (maybe without using
WMI)?

TIA

(Sorry for any bad english, not my 1st language...)

Hi all, I have no knowledge of Exchange server, and have always used CDO to send emails from ASP in the past. My problem now is that the server in question doesn't have SMTP installed alongside IIS, it has Exchange installed which apparantly does have SMTP capabilities but not like the default ones normally accessbile via IIS. Has anyone ever used this approach to sending emails? I'm hoping that I dont need a component or anything...

Hi I have a Web Application that connects to Exchange WebDAV using a class that I found on http://www.codeproject.com/dotnet/exdav.asp. This class requires a NetworkCredential object in order to authenticate the HTTP request against the Exchange server, and since that my WebApp is configured in the IIS to use ONLY Integrated Windows Authentication I have the Windows identity object from which I can get only the user name. Is there a...

I am very new to Exchange. I need to have my Exchange server forward a copy of a message to an email address when the subject or body contains a known unique identifier. Where do I start? How can I make Exchange evaluate a rule to do this? Do I need a SDK ? Is this functionality already apart of Exchange 2003? Any help or direction is very much appreciated. Doug

Hello, The below C# code works fine in obtaining the windows user's account SID when the user is local to the machine. It throws a "Not Found" exception when trying top obtain the SID for a user who is on a domain, but logged in locally. Specifically, for a corporate domain - the user logs into the local desktop and has a local profile - not a roaming profile. The below code is implemented in an NT service for the purpose of

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
