Does anybody know how to resolve the following errors? They were
caused by the designer.cs file that was auto-generated by the LINQ to
SQL designer. I am using the March 2007 Orcas CTP version of Visual
Studio.
Error 1 The type or namespace name 'Linq' does not exist in the
namespace 'System.Data' (are you missing an assembly reference?) C:

Hi,
Im just getting into the beutifull world of .NET framework 3.0. But im a
little confused about the sample codes i have seen so far. Im particularly
interested in document layout and auto flows in WPF. It seems MS expects us
to use XAML to layout our documents, which does not seem productive to me.
Can Blend handle this? If so can i use it to edit my news articles extract
the corresponding XAML codes, save codes to a database and...

I am an ASP.NET developer, and Visual Studio 2005 seems to have stopped
declaring the controls that I add in the *.designer.vb files, therefore
forcing me to manually add them before I can use them in code that I write
in the *.aspx.vb and *.ascx.vb files. Why is it no longer automatically
declaring the controls? Is there a way to manually force Visual Studio 2005
to regenerate these files? Is there a setting somewhere that could have...

Visual Studio 2005 recently stopped generating the *.designer.vb files for
my *.aspx and *.ascx files. I am using Service Pack 1, and do not believe I
did anything differently than normal prior to this happening. Is there
anything that could have caused this? Does anyone know of a way to fix it?
Thanks.

Hi
As we ship some controls with one of our application that targets web
designers, we want to add items in the toolbox of the two products.
With VS 2005, it is quite easy, but what about this two products ?
We was able to add our controls in the standards group, by modifying the
standard.xml file located in Program Files\Office12\1033, but this looks
like much a trick than a supported operation.

Please answer me
1. Is XAML maily aiming windows. Why is the controls on double click
not produce the event handlers in the c# file( code behind or
something ...)
2. XAML web browser applications doesnt need IIS? Then can we use it
for server side programming? If yes how is it working?
3.How to use the asp.net objects from xaml (web) page. Or is there any

So I have bugs in my application that stem from the VS.NET 2008 WPF
desinger. The XML/XAML has gotten corrupted a few times (aparently due
to drag and drop operations executed by the designer from toolbox to
window in drop) and it consistently requires reloading, etc...
What's more: when the XAML does get corrupted, often times my
applications appear to compile bug free and the problems only reveal
themselves as nasty fatal run-time...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
