Error when using webbrowser at design time

I use the component WebBrowser on a form.

Each time I open the form with the component inside VS2005 I get this error:
"Windows Internet Explorer
Cannot find
....:/Users/Torben/AppData/Local/Microsoft/VisualStudio/8.0/ProjectAssembli es/f9gu89ax01...
Make sure the path or internet address is correct"

The error is only inside VS2005, the appliation runs fine.

How do I get rid of this error?

Thanks Torben

Torben,

Is this when you put your control on the form in design time?

Nicholas,

No it comes when I double click on the file to open the form that holds the

Hi, I am having problems with using the DrawToDC of the MSHTML.iHTMLElementRender in a VB.net application. For some reason I am getting a "catastrophic error". I am basing the code on c# examples, and I am not sure what exactly I am doing wrong. From the C# posts it seems that the drawtodc has a bug and you need to redifine it, so i followed their advice and specified an interface as below:

But during the Form_Load, I'm getting the following error: The code generator inserted the following line of code in the form (wbReport is the name of the WebBrowser control)

I can scroll a WebBrowser to the bottom like so: if (webControl.Document != null) webControl.Document.Body.ScrollTop = int.MaxValue; But, if I include a proper DOCTYPE (for XHTML 1.1 DTD) like so: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd">

Hi, I have written a webbrowser application in VB .net Framework 1.1. I would like to suppress javascript error messages. However, the silent property of the webbrowser control suppresses the Javascript messages, but it also blocks any other dialog box, such as Login dialog, i can't use the silent property. I used http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;279535 article to suppress the error messages. It works fine until a...

Hi - Please be gentle. I am quite new to visual basic, but I have been going through tutorials and reading up. I found a code snippet on the internet that I wanted to see if I could re-purpose for a project, but I keep getting the error: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" for the 7th line of the code below which is: obj.ConvertPage(URL).Save("C:\screencaptest2.bmp", System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageFormat.Bmp)

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
