Hello All, I am working with VS.NET 2005 and I have an editable GridView whose HTML markup is shown below. In short, when the user clicks on the Edit button, one of the textboxes is replaced with a DropDownList that displays account numbers in a list. If the user selects an account from the DropDownList that already exists in the list, I wish to hide the 'Update' button or column, along with displaying a warning message. I try to do...

I am using ASP.Net 2.0 and have a gridview on my page. I have everything working except the delete command. The page reloads except the row I am trying to delete is still there. I believe it is something really easy, but I cannot see it. The stored procedue works when run in QA. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong/missing that is keeping the delete command from working in the gridview? Thank you. I am trying to delete a row out of...

Hi ALL, I wonder if anyone has been using n-tier to bind to a GridView control by using the ObjectDataSource. This is our first OOP web application, and we have no tables. Right now we are simply working with objects in memory. So, it appears as though Microsoft requires that our datamapper classes reside inside a folder called "App_Code", and NO WHERE ELSE. So, has anyone successfully been able to place their datamappers in a...

Hi All, I have a GridView inside the EditItemTemplate of a FormView. Both FormView and GridView are data bound using an ObjectDataSource. When the FormView's ObjectDataSource object has a SelectParameters with a SessionParameter in the parameters collection and the object stored in the Session is a reference type, the DataGrid fails to enter Line Editing mode. Is this a bug? Is there a workaround for this problem?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
