1. I have created my own class that inherits the textbox (called it
CyanFocusTextBox). I put in some code and some new properties. All
this works. I build the dll that contains this class successfully.
2. I add it to the user controls section of toolbox and it appears.
3. I add the new CyanFocusTextBoxes to the form and it all works.
4. The problem comes when I update the class CyanFocusTextBox in the
dll and rebuild it. ...

Hi,
I created a custom control. Whenever I add it to the IDE, it appears under
the "General" tab of the toolbox. Can I the component so that it
automatically installs into the "Windows Forms" page?
Thanks.

Hi All
After writing numerous programs in VB.net 2005 I find that the Toolbox takes
forever to initialise.
When it appears it has loads of extra tools mainly report viewer Table
Adaptors etc that I have built in my programs
Is there any way to stop the toolbox from loading anything other than the
default tools

I have a class deriving from System.ComponentModel.Component.
In VS 2003 I could drag it on to a web form. However I'm finding in VS 2005
whilst it functions perfectly at runtime. At design time in VS.NET 2005 you
can not drag the component on to a web form. When I select customize
toolbox and select my dll containing the component I can see the component
listed and checked. After clicking OK the component is not actually
available...

I'm using a ToolboxBitmap attribute to specify a toolbox bitmap for a custom
component I've written. The component appears in the WindowsForms tray area,
below the form in which it is dropped. I'm using magenta as my transparency
color, and the lower-left corner pixel is magenta.
The bitmap works fine in the toolbox, but when I drop the component on a
form, the bitmap in the tray area lacks transparence--in other words, the
magenta...

Hello
i have made a custom control. i have placed a panel on it. I want this
panel to behave just like the normal panel. The problem i was having is
that the panel on my custom control doesnt accept other controls. The
control i drag drop on it becomes the child of my custom control's
parent form and not the child of my custom control. Then i added this
line
""
before my custom control class (i dont know what this line does). Now

Hi
I'm trying to create a composite control to be used on a ToolStrip,
consisting of a ToolStripComboBox and a ToolStripButton. It's going to be a
control used to search for text in a grid control on a WinForm.
I've got it working fine on a single form but now want to reuse this
functionality on other forms. Usually this would be a simple matter of
creating a UserControl, however a ToolStripComboBox cannot be placed on a
UserControl.

Hello all,
Just wanted to get some clarification on something. I was setting
out
to create a login page for people to login and then be able to access
certain aspects of the website. Instead of doing what I usually do
which is store the username password in a db table then compare what
the user enters from the text boxes to what's in the db, I thought I
would try the login components from the toolbox.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
