forcing listview to only one column

Bob
Hi,
How can I force a listview to have only one column so that it
resembles a listbox?

Thanks,
Bob

i would create a listview in detail mode with one columnheader. it's
just a workaround, but a possibility:

columnHeader1.W idth = listView1.Width - 4;
listView1.Items .Add( new ListViewItem( new string[]
{"TEST1","INVIS IBLE"} ) );
listView1.Items .Add( new ListViewItem( new string[]
{"TEST2","INVIS IBLE"} ) );

how about it?

Great, thanks! To be a little clearer for future readers, this is
what I did:
this.listView1. Items.Clear();
this.listView1. View = View.Details;
this.listView1. Columns.Add("Na me");
this.listView1. Columns[0].Width = this.listView1. Width -
4;
this.listView1. HeaderStyle = ColumnHeaderSty le.None;

Hi. I use a ListView to display data in tabular form. Each ListView row corresponds to a data record. The ListView Item of the record is the record key or code. Each SubItem in that row represents a field from the record. I implemented a context menu so the user can "Copy" the cell content to the clipboard with this code:

How can I fill up a listview with text file contents? My listview has two columns and the first column fills up with a while loop: while (myString != null) { myString = sr.Readline(); listView1.Items.Add (myString); } Is there a way I can fill up the second column this easily? Thw way I'm currently doing it is using the subitems property to add it. Unfortunately,

Greetings! I am attempting to display data in tabular form using a ListView control in detail mode. This is for a program I originally wrote in VB6. In VB6, I would add an item to the ListView, and the item would automatically have the correct number of subitems, which I could access using array syntax. That doesn't seem to be the case in VB .Net. I tried creating a two-column listview. I added an item, and then tried to set the...

However, if I create a ListView control in code and add it to the form, it works. Why don't the items show up in the ListView that I added at desgn time. ' Create three items and three sets of subitems for each item. Dim item1 As New ListViewItem("item1", 0) ' Place a check...

When I fill a listview, I resize the columns to fit the data. I need to know if the data will fit vertically or if there will be a vertical scroll bar. I need to know this so I can allow for it on the overall size of the listview. My question therefore is, how can I tell if the items I have added will fit in the listview at its given height? A secondary one, just for interest sake...is there a way to determine the exact heght needed...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers.
