Threads, textboxes and scrolling
Thanks in advance for any information on this matter. I have run into
a small richtextbox, scrolling and tread issue. Which has me totally
confused. Instead of trying to explain it I wrote some small C# code
to demonstrate the fact that in the threaded version the textbox
simple doesn't scroll like it should… please look to the
startButton_Click method for the distinction between the two
programs..

Hello again,
I have a problem that I can't seem to find any help for. I'm probably not typing the
correct words into goo... *cough*... MSN.
I have created a user control which I would like to use as items in a list. The list would
display as many of these controls as I wish to add, scrolling as it needs to.
I KNOW this functionality exists already in every list you care to mention but I don't
know how to go about making a list...

I have a large form with many controls, almost like legal size paper
in height.
Just so I can head these off, I am not looking for suggestions to the
effect of using Tab controls, multi-window or multi-page forms. The
Forms AutoScroll property is set to true so the user can scroll the
window.
What I would like to do is scroll the form for the user. I have
explored the possibility of Me.ScrollControlIntoView(control further

Hi,
I have a panel on a form that contains a number of controls (all created at
design time), so many that the panel has a vertical scrollbar in order to
view all of them (panel1.AutoScroll = True). When the form first loads, the
panel's scrollbar automatically scrolls to about the middle rather than
staying at the top. After moving the scrollbar to the top, I click on one
of the controls, and a dialog box appears to allow me to edit...

Hello all VB.net friends !
i have done most of my programming in assembly, at least so far. Recently i
decided to learn a high level language for windows programming. I didnt take
long to realize that VB.net would be my perfect friend.
I have already rewritten most of my assembly controls in VB, but i am not
satiesfied with the scrolling performance, though.
In assembler, where you can write directly to the video memory, this

Hi All,
I am using the flow control (can't remember its full name), to display a
few dynamically created controls based on the tags the user has added to my
system. This works fine, except when a user scrolls this control area (when
there are a lot of controls) the screen update is terrible whilst the user
is actually scrolling. The result looks fine when they stop scrolling
though.
The nature of the problem is that it appears to me...

I have an Access database frontend linked via ODBC to a large
(gigabytes) mysql database.
I need to view a large amount of data in a a textbox (variable up to
300K), but I receive a 'there isnt enough memory' error whenever I
scroll past N number of bytes in a textbox that has been filled with a
lot of data. I am not sure what N is, but for a large chunk of data
it occurs at about the halfway scroll, and smaller chunks might not
throw...

Hi All,
I know this has been discussed before but i can't really find an
answer to what i want to do. I am developing an application for
touchscreen using C#. It's going to be a fullscreen application
somewhat like a new windows shell. I want the user to scroll up/down
the objects currently viewed on the display using finger gestures
(e.g. like HTC TouchFlo where when moving your finger from the top to
the buttom of the screen the...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
