Hi guys,
I'm having a bit of a problem getting a VB .NET console app to run happily
as a scheduled task. The app itself generates a bunch of word documents on a
file share on another server by reading from a template file and inserting
text at bookmark locations (with details pulled from a table in the
database). I'm running the app under a regular domain account that isn't an
administrator on the server. The read/execute permissions are...

Hi,
I have an ASP.Net application written with VS.Net 2002 (Net FWK 1.0). This
Web Application uses Exception Management Application Block to log Events to
Windows Event Log. We registered the Exception Management Application Block
using installutil.
Our Application uses impersonation and used to work fine on Windows 2000
Server.
Now we installed it on a Windows Server 2003 and when an exception is
raised, we get an "Access is denied"...

Hello, I was wondering if someone can help. I have built a VB.NET
application that is just a simple .exe which calls Excel and inputs some
data. But when run in a Task Scheduler setting, the application will only
run if a console session is logged in, ie: logged into the computer. If I
logout of the session, and let Task Scheduler run, it fails with the
following error in the Event Viewer.
The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source...

Hi,
I am writing a console application to send a key sequence to an old
clunky application on a regular interval using the windows scheduler. I
can get it to work if it is a windows form application but not in a
console application. Two questions I have:
1) how can I get this code modified to use System.Windows.Forms.Keys
2) I like to pass a parameter to the console app to indicate which key
needs to be passed to the application. so:

Hi,
We have an inhouse developed VB.NET Windows application which runs
successfully only when the user is given a local administrator rights.
Without which, it fails to start. There isn't anything reported on the
event viewer. Giving the user full access to C:\ drive also doesn't do
the trick. Unfortunately, we do not have the code of this application
and hence cannot view what the application is trying to access. Note
that we have both...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
