Does anyone know how I could view a WinWord Doc in a WinForm (other than
convert to RTF or HTML)? I cannot convert it to RTF because I have drawn
lines and they will not come through when converted to RTF. I would rather
not convert to HTML because of the ease in changing the format (doc will
change).

Anyone know of a good HTML Rendering control? I need a control that will
render and display HTML in a Windows form. It doesn't need to pull down
HTML pages from the Web - I'll feed it all the HTML it needs to display.
I've already spent way too much time trying to get the Microsoft WebBrowser
control to work, and I have too many other things to work on to waste any
more time on it. If you know of any third-party HTML Renderers out there,...

Can anyone tell me how I can write HTML to a WebBrowser control in
Visual Basic 6? I want to display HTML in the browser that is generated
from within my VB program (as opposed to loading it from a file or URL).
Is this possible?

I've been trying this for months. Doesn't work.
I've used the code in this article,
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/311288/en-us, HOW TO: Invoke the Find,
View Source, and Options Dialog Boxes for the WebBrowser Control from
Visual Basic .NET.
This code worked in VB.Net 2003 but not in VB.Net 2005.
Specifically this doesn't work... (all code is from article)

I would like to build an HTML stream as a string and have the
WebBrowser control render that HTML. Then on PostBack, or whatever it
is called, I would like my code to be the one that receives what the
WebBrowser control is sending. Effectively, my code would be the web
server and the WebBrowser control would be the web client.
All the examples I am seeing have the WebBrowser control being directed
to a URL from which to get the HTML...

Hello all,
I have an application I have written in VB that utilizes the web browser control. Users can access webpages with it but also scan folders on their computer. Here is my question that I have yet to see anybody resolve (even though others have asked the exact same thing in other forums):
How do I automatically set the folder view to "View Details" if the user navigates to a folder on their computer instead of an html...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
