I'm having a major problem with a databound listbox in C#. In the
constructor for the form I am trying to pre-select some of the items based
in information in the database. When I step through the debugger it all
seems to be working properly until the Load function is called, and then all
my selections but 1 are unselected. Anybody had any experience with this
and know of a fix?

I would like to be able to use an autocompleting listbox - that is, one
where you can select an item in the list by typing the first few characters;
the standard IE listbox only responds to the first character.
I'm happy to pay a few quid for a 3rd-party component/activex control if
necessary but I imagine something equally good could be done with
client-side code...
Any suggestions?

I have a Form with a ListBox in it. I'd like to be able to scroll the
ListBox even when it's not in focus. ie. when i scroll the mousewheel
when my focus is on the form, I'd like the ListBox to scroll. Now,
there are two ways I would think would work. The first is if I can
resend the MouseEventArgs to the ListBox but there does not seen to be
a way to pass that event along. The second is if I could manually
scroll the ListBox...

Hi, How can I set all the items in a listbox to be selected? I can't find a
property or mehtod to do it so I thought I'll try using setselected method

I need some control that basically acts as a listbox, but allows each
item to take up more then one line. I've tried adding a new item and
putting in a vbCrLf in there, but that just comes out as a box on the
same line. Is there some way of making the listbox show multiple lines
for each item, or is there another control (3rd party maybe) that will
let me do this?

Essentially it works, but I must be missing something big, conceptually,
because I get all kinds of screen artifacts and weirdness.
My general goal is: list item with a few areas for text, every other item

I have a form with a databound listbox and combobox. The listbox items
are filtered based on the selection for the combobox.
If I click on the listbox to select an item, I can no longer select the
combobox or even exit the form. It's as if something won't let me take
focus away from the listbox -- all I'm able to do is navigate within

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
