selectparameter s not working

Hello,
I have a gridview which calls a database query through a regular
SqlDataSource. However, any argument I try to pass to the select query in
the SqlDataSource using <selectparamete rsfails. This is my code, where the
propertyname and controlid refer to a TextBox on the same page:
<selectparamete rs>
<asp:controlpar ameter type="string" name="getfile"
controlid="srch Form" propertyname="T ext" DefaultValue=" "/>
</selectparameter s>
Any clues?

Thanks,
Ben

I have a stored procedure that expects a month and year. There are times when I simply want to pass the current month and year (instead of, say, a querystring value). How can I pass the current month and year as the defaultText attribute value inside a <selectparameters> tag? Thank you!

Does anyone knows how to assign the value of a textbox to productDataSource.SelectParameters when a button is clicked? I'm using VS 2005 and all the code I've found on the web are samples of dropdown lists with code in the aspx page. Heres the subroutine where I'm stuck. Protected Sub btnSearch_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnSearch.Click Dim search As String Dim productDataSource As New...

I am using a GridView with 3 SelectParameters 2 of which are ControlParameters, but the third of my SelectParameter values is derived through my code rather than a QueryString, Control etc, so I need to add my select parameters programmatically. Here are my 2 ControlParameters are they were originally : <SelectParameters> <asp:ControlParameter Name="Month" ControlID="ddlMonth" PropertyName="SelectedValue" />

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
