Please help
I don't know if this is possible but what I would really like to do is
to use On Error Goto to capture the code that is being executed when
an error occurs.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Is it possible to create a property and specify different access modifiers
for the get and set methods? From the property definition it appears that
you can define attributes but not access modifiers. I have never used
attributes so I don't know if they are useful for this purpose.
What I want to do is to create an 'Entry' class that will be used by two
other classes. One class will create the 'Entry', assign limits, a default
value...

Hi all,
Using reflection, I can invoke/call private methods of an object.
is this intended?
if yes, why? in what scenario (example would be good) should I be givven the
option to use something that was declared private (not public) and not mine
to use? seems to me this is somewhat malicious...
if not.... well....

Hi,
Is it possible to declare a variable or array in the class that is
accessible to all the methods in the class? For the example below, I would
like to make the variable lnVar1 accessible to both methods m1 and m2 but I
am getting an error. Is there another way to do this?
Thanks

How can i change the access modifier of a control from protected to public if
the designer code is not visible to the developer? I tryed declaring it on
the page but it throws a compile error saying that the control has already
been declared as protected.

We are running an Access 2000 MDB with a SQL 7 back end. Our network guy is
upgrading to Windows Server 2003 and wants to upgrade Office and SQL Server
at the same time. We're moving to SQL Server 2005, and, since he already has
licenses for Office Pro 2002, he wants to upgrade to that.
I've been saying that we need to upgrade to Access 2003, not 2002, even if
Office is kept at 2002. We are also looking to do a fair amount of...

What is the cleanest way to gain access to object methods and
properties across classes and files in the same namespace?
Example: A form object frmForm in file frmForm.cs creates obj1 defined
in file obj1.cs, which in turn creates obj2 and obj3 defined in obj2.cs
and obj3.cs, respectively.
What is the canonical way for frmForm to access obj2 and obj3? For obj3
to access frmForm?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
