Hi everyone,
I am trying to build a small library ( in C# and VS2003) that accepts a
PDF file and converts it to a word document. During this process all
alignments are to be kept.
Is there a way to deo it through code, I am playing with the
microsoft.offic e.interop.word dll but importing the PDf into a format
is a bit of a problem.
Any help would be definitiely appreciated.
Thnx. 3 2174
Probably need to use the Adobe SDK to do this. And by the way it's doesn't
always do a perfect conversion.

If you search around on sourceforge.net there are several C#-based PDF
libraries that may help in your efforts.

There is a group of products called Aspose ( www.aspose.com). I don't know if
they can do what you want, but there is an Aspose.Pdf and an Aspose.Words.

Hi all,
I was always told that the conversion of Word files to HTML as done by
Word itself sucks - you get a lot of unnecessary code that can
influence the design on web browsers other than Internet Explorer. Our
computer expert in my company had told me already a while ago that I
should learn HTML and encode myself. I was never inclined to do so (I
am no computer expert), and when upon his suggestion I looked how my
pages (converted to...

Here at work, we have 2 copies of our policies and procedures. We have a
Word format, and a PDF format. The problem is that when a policy is changed
(there is a commitee meeting every month), the Word doc file is updated, and
then a different user has to convert it to PDF (We only have 2 licenses for
Acrobat). I would like to try to develop a solution, where the user updates
the doc file, and then goes to a page on our intranet, where...

Hi,
I am looking for an already developped tool that could convert Word .doc
files (I do not mind the version) to .xml format.
That tool should be a command line tool and I should be able to convert
several files from .doc to .xml and, very important, I should be able to
get the non-text data of the file (I mean, for example, author, last
printing time and so on).

Hello Everybody,
I have to conert the word doc to multiple html files,according to the templates in the word doc.
I had converted the word to xml.Also through Exsl ,had finished the multiple output html files.
The problem is while reading through the worddoc paragraph,the special characters are not identified.
So in the xml file,it's just storing that as "?".So I couldn't able to retrive the characters in my ouput html files.

Hi,
I don't know what type of files they are, but the script allows me to
save to a bitmap just fine. But I do know they need to be in RGBA 4444
format, so I've followed what most of the tutorials for RGBA
conversions said to do...shifting the bytes.
The major problem is that everything is in green, it's shifted up by x
pixels, and it's..um..flipped from left to right. I've been working on
this for a few weeks now and any insight to the...

Hi All,
I have created an application in C# that converts HTML file to MS word
documents. The HTML file may also have images , for e.g "<img
src='http://www.google.com.pk/images/hp0.gif'></img>".
The HTML file saved into .doc file. Now the problem is
that whenever the .doc file is opened it goes to the link mentioned in
the <imgtag. This means that only the link is saved in the .doc file
and not the ACTUAL image. Now I want the actual...

Hi! I've taken my first steps into the world of c++ by trying to write a
text adventure game. Things are proceeding fine, but there's some code
in there that isn't very well coded. More specifically, I use the
following code:
...
string word ;
size_t pos = action.find(" ");
word = action.substr (0,pos);
if (pos < action.size() - 2)

How to convert a PDF file and a Word Doc file to array of bytes? Is there any other means to implement this.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
