ABOUT DATASET SAMPLE FIGURE

HI EVERYONE!

can anyone share an example dataset figure or code???

i'm still neophyte on c# and xml programming.

can anyone share there knowledge with regards to using
dataset...conve rting it to an xml file and vice versa...

we're having a problem on getting the value of the nodes in xml when it
already has the child of the child of the child...for instance

<parent>
<child>
<grandchild>
<greatgrandchil d>
</greatgrandchild >
</grandchild>
</child>
</parent>

i'm planning to use either hash table, dataview or data set...which is
better?
i'm having a problem on how to transfer the data from xml to either of
the above mentioned and vice versa.
can anyone help"?

May or maybe not this can help.
If you have a strongly typed DataSet object.
dim inputDS as MyStrongTypedDa taSet = new MyStrongTypedDa taSet
Dim xmlDoc As XmlDataDocument = New XmlDataDocument (inputDS)

C#

MyStrongTypedDa taSet inputDS = new MyStrongTypedDa taSet();
XmlDataDocument xdoc = new XmlDataDocument ( inputDS );
DataSet xml ... isn't super good with nestings.
Its more a "relational " type model. Aka, a mini database table structure.

I am just starting to work with reflection and I want to create a log that saves relevant information if a method call fails so I can call that method again later using reflection. I am experimenting a bit with what I need to do this and have the following code snippet. But first if I pass the assembly name and type to Activator.CreateInstance() it always fails. However if I walk my assembly and get a type value, the call to...

Hi all, Would someone be able to tell me the most 'graceful' way of removing unwanted rows from a dataset based on a condition prior to update? OR, resetting the rows all to unchanged after they are initally added to the recordset. I create a dataset, which begins empty after the initial .Fill. Then I create several rows with some default information, leaving one

Does anybody have an actual example of retrieving an Image data type column from a SQL Server table using a dataset (not a datareader)? I would like to see the statements that would move the Image returned in the dataset to a picture box, like: For Each dr in ds.tables(0).rows Pic.Image = dr("ImageColumnName") 'not this simple! Next Thanks,

Hi, I am looking for a way to sort a strong typed dataset. It would seem the most straightforward way is to use a dataview. The only problem is when I use the dataview I seem to loose the strong typed properties from my original dataset Anyone that can point me to an example of how to sort my dataset and maintain the use of my typed properties would be greatly appreciated Thank, Freeon

>From an asp.net web page I want the user to open the results of a SQL query in Excel, as automatically as possible (ie not having to loop through columns, rows, in code). For this, dataset.writexml works great (got the code from http://forums.devx.com/archive/index.php/t-57273.html ) The only question I have is, when Excel opens up, it isn't the view I would prefer. It opens as a read-only workbook, I would prefer as an

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
