I have been having a problem styling a page, which you can see live at my
test site:
Designer Page (http://home.ne.rr.com/thespar/)
(Ignore the missing pictures, which have not been uploaded.)
The page renders correctly in TopStyle and Dreamweaver 4, and also online in
my test website, i.e., the 5 successive navigation divs are correctly
rendered one after another.

Hi,
Consider the following situation
I have the following routine running repeatedly (curControl is a UserControl
with say 1000 textboxes and a big array of strings):
Public Sub AddControl(ByVal ctlName As String)
If Not IsNothing(curControl) Then
Me.Controls.Remove(curControl)
End If

I'm creating a custom control (inherited from UserControl) that is displayed
by other controls on the form. I would like for the control to disappear
when the user clicks outside my control the same way a menu does. To do
this my control needs to get notified when the user tried to click off of
it. The Leave and LostFocus events of the UserControl work most of the time
but not always. For example, if they click on a part of the form...

Hi,
been a while since I posted a question myself instead of trying to help
others out.
I'm refactoring an existing web app that uses dynamic loading of user
controls and a lot of response.redirects to the same page. Because I hate
the overhead by doing this I'm searching for a cleaner option.
But I'm having troubles (off course or I wouldn't be posting this).

Hey all,
Working on revamping our Intranet here and making use of the LDPA, Active
Directory, Directory Services, etc. that .Net provides. I am still fairly
new on this subject, so the problem I have run into I am not sure how to
fix, and really not sure what is causing it.
Here's what is going on (test server - Windows 2003 Server):
I have a page in a folder (under anonymous authentication in IIS6) that has
a link on it that...

Hi
When I'm debugging and somewhere in the code I have a breakpoint, many
times when the code after breakpoint finishes and the app returns I
can do nothing within in it(it's like freeze)... The app behaves
strangely and not accepts any event even close event!!!!! It just
lefts for me to stop debugging clicking the respective button in the
vs.net toolbar... I don't know if this behaviour is a bug of vs.net or
if it's consequence of bad...

Hi,
I have a form that when opened in the designer appears of the screen. The
form selector can't be dragged (or resized) and if I scroll right and down
to centralise it the form simply jumps further away, completely leaving the
selector box area.
Any ideas? VS 2003 and VB.Net
This is a simple application at the moment but the form is inherited from a

Hi all,
I am experiencing a strange thing happening with a "designer.vb" page. Controls I manually declare in this page are automatically deleted after I drop another control on a ".aspx" page.
- Why is this happening?
- Can I disable automatic declaration and have everything be declared manually?
- Any other options to fix this?
Thanks in advance.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
