Hi,
I'm having a little problem catching keystrokes under Windows. I did a
little research and found that with mscvrt.getch() one can cath a single
key that is pressed. However this doesn't work when the program is run
on the backround and not as the primary task. What I would like to have
is a same sort of function that would also work when the program is being
run on the background. I'm trying to implement a program that would listen...

I have pulled together a VB.net project that hooks the keyboard (Ref. Paul
Kimmel's hooking program) and allow the user to send "mouse right clicks" via
the SendInpuut function (mouse emulation works fine). I am also trying to
make this project capable of "Rearrange the keyboard" (example type "e" and
"K" is sent to the application) by using SendInput function and I am not able
to get it to work. I am finding the use of SendInput...

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to know how my program can trap a particular API
call by windows. (The idea is that I want to hook all the open text
boxes and keep hooking new ones as and when they are created).
So for this i want to trap the CreateWindow or CreateWindowEx API
as that I can keep track of the handles etc. I have an idea that
this can be done by mapping the entry points of kernel32.dll,
gdi32.dll etc, just like how SoftIce...

I was creating test projects using c# and was surprised that there seems to
be only a form based windows applications available. Is it safe to assume
that classic window applications that utilize a parent window with child
windows can only be done in c++ and mfc and there's nothing else in .net
that is meant to be used like that?
It seems to be that c# should be used for either form based windows apps,
console apps, and web apps (also...

Second, if true, it explains /what/ is going on--stdscr, only--, but

I try to find some code that will log to some txt file all the keystrokes in a smartphone.
I have read many blogs about it, but I'm still confused.
There are two blogs that i tried to understand

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
