Hi
I hav e a smallish app that has a datagridview. A user can select some
columns in the datagrid, and i have a button that i would like to use to

Any ideas how to accomplish this?
I have all the controls working in this form apart from this feature.

Hi!
I am using VB 2008 with SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005 (depending
which server the user selects to connect to).
I have a combox in which the user types the server to connect to.
Another combobox that shows the databases in that particular server.
Another combobox with the filesets from the selected database above.

I have a windows form "BaseForm" that contains a DataGridView that is
not bound to any datasources and a button. Both of these controls
have a modifier of "Protected Internal" and none of the controls are
locked on this form.
I have another windows form call "ChildForm" that inherits
"BaseForm". When I open"BaseForm: in VS2005 I can see both the
DataGridView and the button and I can view all of the properties of
these controls. ...

Sorry for the cross post. I am stuck.
I have a datagridview for poker rounds.
Basically there are 3 columns in this datagridview.
"Round"
"SmallBlind"
"BigBlind"
I have an issue when I tab through the new row being added. It does not
'Add' that row, nor setup the 'next blank add row' so I can continue to tab

I have DataGridView in virtual mode containing 3500 rows.
In code below, assigning to RowCount value to 3500 takes 8 seconds.
CPU usage goes high at this time.
Stepping by F11 into user code shows few celltemplate property getters and
combobox/datecombo constructor calls without database access which does not
take a lot of time.
Debug output (below) shows lot of messages Stepping over non-user code.
Running in release mode from...

I have a couple questions regarding the DataGridView object...
1) What is the underlying data type that the DataGridView uses if you
are using it unbound and do for instance dgv.Columns.Add(). Is there
any way to access that data type directly, since the DataSource field
is null when the DataGridView is unbound?
2) Is there any way to add a row which does not have as many columns
as the rest of the grid? Basically I have about 10...

I'm trying to make a datagridview column to act like a datetimepicker column (C#.Net 2005). These are the behaviours that the dgv should have:
1) Initially all the cells of the dtp column should be blank unless they are filled by the user.
2) As soon as the user enters a cell, the dtp control should appear as the editing control of that cell. If there's a value in the cell beforehand, that value is set as the value of the dtp editing control...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
