Creating one print job from many

Hi,

I'm using reporting services (localreport) to generate multiple PDF
reports. These individual reports (documents) need to be printed
together using different trays on the printer (Doc A from tray 1, Doc B
from tray 2).

The problem I have is that this is a multi user system and so if two
users were printing at the same time, the documents could get mixed up.

If they anyway to either;

lock the print queue so that the documents can be sumbitted together.

or preferabaly

Create one document for the print queue, in the document enbedding the
printer commands for which tray to use etc...

Any ideas welcome!

Many thanks
Mat

with something similar and would appreciate any insights you have.
Thanks

Greetings, fellow Pythonistas! I'm about to create three modules. As an avid TDD fan I'd like to create typical 'use-cases' for each of these modules. One of them is rather large, and I wondered if it would be easy enough to create a code skeleton out of unit test module. Consider the following, though contrived, unit test code snippet: ==========================================================================

Here is an example of Access creating a single page PDF file. The text in the textbox is scaled to fit horizontally into a grey box 100 pixels wide that is fontsize pixels high. Clicking the command button creates the pdf file. Be sure to close Acrobat Reader before creating another file with the same name. Form code is followed by module code. No stream compression or pdf linearization is used in this example. Note that the special...

Perhaps many of you MS Access fanatics already know this, but it seems that stored procedures and views are possible in Jet. I thought I would leave this message just in case it would help anyone. I discovered this the other day while doing some experiments with ADO and ADO.NET. Basically, I wanted to run a stored MS Access query with parameters using the syntax Execute MyProcedure @Param1, @Param2...

Hi, My idea is to create a system working as follows: each module knows path to plugin directory, and that directory contains modules which may add hooks to some points in the code. Inspired by http://www.python.org/pycon/2005/papers/7/pyconHooking.html I would create a class like this:

Hi, I m thinking about writing some code which logs the input and output of a function/script and stores it in a database using sqlalchemy (although I havent started on this yet). I want to do this via a decorator ( I think this is the best way ). def log(fn): def newfn(*args): print datetime.date.today()

This is NOT a complete OO perl tutorial However I thought it could be beneficial to explain some of the basic concepts, and allow some users to simplify the software design process. I have found it to be extremely useful and beneficial to create my own "custom" modules. It (among many other things) allows you to type less. Or to make your keystrokes matter more, however you look at it. (If you do even look at it.) Things the reader...

Hi I have been using DOM parser to create XML documents. I want to use an alternate mechanism to create XML document as size of my XML document is large and I don;t want the overhead of DOM (where entire tree in constructed in memory). Like SAX APIs for parsing XML documents, Is there any thing like SAX parser/APIs for creating XML documents?

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
