Question about drawing bugs in DataGridView

Using : Windows 2000 Pro SP4 / VS.NET 2005 / .NET 2.0 / C# - All updates
done.

I have several bugs when I use the DataGridView : When scrolling (or after
scrolling) the grid have these problems :

- Some Image/Icon (in rows) are half-drawn

- Some Image/Icon are drawn on the wrong row ! (First row : nothing,
Row 2 : has image of the first row, Row 3 : image of the 2nd row,...)

- Some ComboBox's button (in rows) are like dark gray square.

- .

Everything return to normal if, by example, I minimize/re-maximise the
application.

I do nothing special. Just a grid binded to a MS SQL data source. nothing
else.

Is there a patch or workaround for those bugs ?? Can those problems come
from my Video cxard drivers ?

Thanks for any help !

OK. in the "Feedback centre" of Microsoft there is more than 100 "Bug
Reports" just for the DataGridView...

I remember me buying VS 2005 almost only for the "NEW PROFESIONNAL
DATAGRIDVIEW".. It seems that I just bought some more bugs leading to just
more and more coding, more headaches, more delay for my customer or just
loosing them because it's impossible for me to deliver a usable product !

It's not one or two little non annoying bugs.. But HUNDRERD of bugs, and
some of them are so big !!

I can't believe that Microsoft tested it before selling it. THAT IS NOT
POSSIBLE !

OR they know that it wont work and in spite of that they sell it.. Just to
make money.

I can't understand how Microsoft want us to make professional software
with hundreds of bugs in the main controls... knowing that we have NO WAY
to correct it (no source code) !

SO WHAT MR MICROSOFT ? Do I have to sell unusable softwares ??? AND tell
my customer "that's not my fault. that's Microsoft. And I have NO idea when
theses bugs will be corrected" ???? AND What do I have to answer to a
customer telling me "Maybe you made the bad choice with Microsoft." ????????

Can someone from Microsoft answer those questions ????

Hi, What is the better way to save image into a database ? Just save the path into a field or save the image itself ? I have 20 000 images (~ 10/12 Ko per image ) to save. Stan

Hi All, I am using a database which doesn't suppport and since I am using ORM I can not use join query to create table object mapping. So my question is I have a master table which has bunch of columns I want to display. Of those 3 of them are integer columns, which needed to be translated into string by looking up on a reference table. How can I translate the integer values to string after the table is fetched and put in the

I am not a programmer, I'm an engineer trying to make an interface to a product I'm designing. I have used C# to make a form that interrogates the unit via the serial port and receives the data. I want to be able to draw lines in a picturebox based upon certain data points I have received. I dragged a picturebox from the toolbar onto my form, but after having gone through the help files, looking online and trying a variety of things, I...

By default I have it set to "DataGridView.AutoResizeColumns(DisplayedCells);" I let the user change to "DataGridView.AutoSizecolumnsMode = Fill;" at runtime with a button. When I do that it takes about 3 seconds during which time I can see the bottom scroll bar shinking more and more till its done. I've tried putting "DataGrideView.SuspendLayout();" "DataGridView.ResumeLayout();" around the "AutoSeizcolumnsMode = Fill;" but I still...

My current headache is proper is with the datagridview I am starting to realize that a DataGridView within vs2008 is not as 'robust' as a 'textboxfield' by default for example. Example: A Textbox field can have masking, you can add easy validation and so on. Just adding a dummy datagridview to a form, databounding it, and allowing editing works - but is not dummy proof.

Hi, I'm writing here because this issue is becoming more annoying with each day it passes. So I have a form, a dataset with a few table adapters (3 to be precise) and a datagridview. The datagridview has a lot of columns as checkboxes (30 columns are checkboxes per row). The problem is in the form drawing and painting, when first shown the form paints itself very slow and im running this on a relatively powerful computer (Pentium 2.4GHz with...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
