Hi all
I'm trying to add an assembly to the toolbox in VS.NET 2002, but I receive the following error
There are no components in "C:\CustomControls\ControlXYZ.dll" that can be placed on the toolbox
But when I add the same assembly to the toolbox in VS.NET 2003 there is no problem
I need to work with this custom control in VS .NET 2002. What can I do

Hi Everyone,
(using VS2003)
So here is my problem... I have a class that inherits from the Button
control have compiled the project with all references and it does not
appear in the Toolbox. The other controls appear just fine.
I searched this topic and found a lot of responses but everyone has a
different solution to the problem.

Some of my controls appear twice in my tool box.
One has an icon that looks like gear.
the other icon is a rectangle containing 4 squares plus a small rectangle
and a blue line at the top. Actually it looks like a miniature windows form.
I can delete and re-add the one with the gear but the other one appeared on
its own and there appears to be no way to remove it.
Does anyone have items in their toolbox with the 4-squares rectangle...

Hi there,
I'm having problems with the Toolbox in VB.NET 2002 Standard. I have 2
class libraries, 1 contains licensing classes and references nothing but
standard namespaces and the other references my first library in order to
protect the exposed components. To make things easier I'll refer to my
licensing library as licensinglibrary.dll and my control library as
controllibrary.dll.
When I try to add mycontrollibrary to the toolbox...

Hi,
All of a sudden half of my VS.NET 2005 toolbox icons have got what looks
like a chart icon instead of their usual one.
What gives and why does it happen??
More importantly, how do I get the usual icons back. It feels a bit like
the old ShellIconCache problem Windows used to suffer from??

The icons next to the text description in the toolbox for all MSFT controls
are the same. Right now for instance the pointer icon is beside every
control(labels, buttons, etc). Which icon is displayed is different at
different times that I open VS, but they are always the same instead of
varied. It wasn't like that when I first installed, but I don't know what
happened.
Any ideas?

Hi,
Most of the icons in visual studio 2005 toolbox turns into ! with an O
around, like the icon which is standard for the error provider. It
seems that the icons for button, labels are missing. i don't know. Is
someone familiar with this?

Hi All,
I'm using VS 2005 8.0.50727.42 (RTM.050727-4200), with .NET framework
2.0. Everything was working fine, but now suddenly I don't see my ToolBox
icons, whether you are in design mode or not, it's the same. Doing reset
toolbox comes with all the icons, but they are all disabled except HTML
controls. If you select "Choose Toolbox Items" then ".NET framework
components" property tab comes with this error message - "An error occurred...

If I reset the ToolBox, all the ToolBox Icons are correct.
Over time, though, and starting from the top, the icons change to a particular icon, usually the
icon for a combobox. The rate of change is sporadic. Some days, there is no change while all of a
sudden, two or three more will change to the combobox icon. Now today, several more have changed
and all those that were and have changed now have all changed to the picture box icon.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
