Controls in Toolbox for specific projects only?

Is there a way to show a control in the VS 2005 Toolbox only when a certain
solution is loaded?

I have a solution that uses several user controls. To facilitate development
and testing, these controls were developed separately, each in its own
solution. But they are specific to the soution that they were built for, so
I'd like to show them in the Toolbox when that solution is open, but not
otherwise.

Is that possible? How would I do it? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I have created a custom textBox within a C# project. I want to put that custom textBox on a form now. I heard about a way, to place that user control onto a form within the same project, without having to compile it seperately before. An example: 1. In Visual Studio create a new C# Windows Application

Hi, as nobody answers in dotnet.general, I try it here: Why are my own controls (dervied from System.Windows.Forms.Control) not automatically added to the toolbox? Only controls derived from Usercontrol are added automatically. The big advantage is that they are only available in the project containing them. I could add those, directly derived from the Control class, manually, but then they are in the toolbox also in other projects....

Ok, I already asked a question similar to this one but didn't found any answer ! I've a solution with 2 projects in it. One of the project contains Usercontrols and Inherited Controls. I work actively on both project, changing the usercontrols and the second project (forms that uses the usercontrols). When I build my solutuion, my user controls become available in the Toolbox under "My user controls", with an icon of a user control, but...

I've created a user control: Public Class Button Inherits System.Windows.Forms.UserControl (at this point VS added this to toolbox on my computer) and then changed MANUALLY (is there any other way to inherit from built-in controls?) to: Public Class Button Inherits System.Windows.Forms.Button

In Visual Studio 2003, I could create a new user control such as panel1. The name panel1 would appear in the toolbox under "My User Controls." I could drag this panel1 from the toolbox onto another panel or dialog box. This worked great. In Visual Studio 2005, I can still create a new user control such as panel1. The problem is I can't find a tab such as "My User Controls." Also, I can't find a way to drag my new panel1 onto a dialog...

Hello i have made a custom control. i have placed a panel on it. I want this panel to behave just like the normal panel. The problem i was having is that the panel on my custom control doesnt accept other controls. The control i drag drop on it becomes the child of my custom control's parent form and not the child of my custom control. Then i added this line "" before my custom control class (i dont know what this line does). Now

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
