(PHP4.3.4, GD2) How can I save a PNG using GD2 and insure that it saves as a
palette-based (8-bit, 256-color) single-color transparancy?? Saving this
way, I could be sure that an image loaded from a transparent gif could be
saved as a png and the png would work in IE versions 5.5 and greater (IE has
bug that messes up png transparancies which use full alpha channel).

I would like to load image from a directory right into an image list.
I wrote a simple library that loads the images in the directory and
resizes them as needed before adding to the wx.ImageList.
This is not the same code but some snippets.
I resize the image this way (using Python Imaging Library):
def resizeimage(image,newsize):
oldsize = (image.GetWidth(),image.GetHeight())
if oldsize != newsize:

I am using the following code to grab an image to a byte array. The
problem is, that it works for bibitcount 24 but not for 8. I read that
it is possible to add a 8bit palette to make an 8bit image out of it,
but I couldn't doit.
Could someone maybe please help?
