Greetings
I have googled this to no avail, maybe someone here can help. I have a
user control that has several radio buttons and text boxes. I place 5
of these user controls on a windows form. I have set the tab order on
the user control and then I set the tab order on the windows form. For
some reason I only tab from user control to user control. Is there any
way to tab all the way through my user control before proceeding to the...

I have made a WebForm with log ON/OFF off users.
There is a label that shows the total count off users logged on stored in
Application("UserCount")
It works fine if the users logs out WITH THE LOG-OUT BUTTON, but what if a
user "logs out" by closing with the X-button ?
If I count down the Application("UserCount") in UNLOAD or DISPOSE I get a
spoky reaction in Application("UserCount") - it just counts wrong !

Hi,
I'm having problems setting focus to a textbox on a web user contol on an
asp.net web page. The following script works on normal asp.net pages:

function cmdButton1_Clicked()

return false;

I am developing a VB.NET user control that is composed of a component
control (along with some classes, etc). This is probably a stupid question,
and should be easy, but I must be having a brain fart. In the control
itself, how do I set focus BACK to the form that the control is on? This
control does some maniuplation of an outside application (by starting up the
application and sending it keystrokes). What I want to be able to do is to...

Hi,
I have a question. I have created a user control which contains a
textbox and a button. we will enter some search word in the textbox and hit
the button. Then we will get a pop-up with the listbox that contains the
matches. Once I select one of the matches, it will close the pop-up and
display the selected one in a label control which is also in the user
control. Everything is working fine. But I am not getting one thing. After
the...

The problem:
I want to know, definitively when a slider loses focus after a user has
started sliding and hasn't released the mouse yet. It appears that
this is captured with the WM_ACTIVATEAPP message but this only goes to
the form and I want it in the user control that maybe very much removed
from the form's knowledge; i.e. the form may launch a 3rd party form
that, upon a call back, decides to launch other form that has my user
control...

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/system.windows.forms.control.focus(VS.80).aspx
this page says:
"Focus is a low-level method intended primarily for custom control
authors. Instead, application programmers should use the Select method
or the ActiveControl property for child controls, or the Activate
method for forms."
I am trying to give a Numeric UpDown control focus. Only Focus()
works. But this says to not use it.

I have a custom Control that is a label, however I inherit from Control...
1) I override onClick and do a DrawFocusRectangle, that works great. How do
I clear the focus rectangle once something else on the parent is clicked? I
tried to override OnLostFocus and invalidate but that doesn't seem to do it.
2) the control, like i said is a label, how do i override the hotkey
behavior. I.e, if my text is &Help, when I do Alt-H on the parent,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
