DataGridView - Cannot Enter Values in Column

I have a DataGridView on my form, but for some reason: I am unable to modify
/ change any values in the datagrid. I do not have any of the columns set to
ReadOnly.

What do I need to do to be able to edit a column? I have EditMode set to
"EditOnKeystrok eOrF2".

The selection for the cell looks like it allows me to type, but none of the
keystrokes are picked up and entered in the cell.

Is there an equivalent of the DataGrid's DataGridTableStyle for the DataGridView? If not, is there an easy way to duplicate the DataGridTableStyle's functionality for the DataGridView? Here's the background for my question... Before I switched my application over to the Fx 2.0, I used a DataGrid to display my data. I would store different DataGridTableStyles (each one with a custom set of columns) in the DataGrid.TableStyles property...

I have a DataGridView which displays numeric (Int32) data from an underlying database. I want the numbers to be displayed in numeric format "#,###" (with commas). I want to also limit the user so they can only input numerical values. Is there any way to do this? Currently my formatting works but if the user enters a value manually the formatting is not applied to the new value. Also I haven't found a way to allow only numerical input....

I'm baffled. I have a column in a SQL Server Express database called "Longitude," which is a float. When I view the table in a DataGridView, some of the numbers, which only have two decimal places in the database show up with *15* decimal places and are ever so slightly off (in the example in the subject line, by about 2E-15). I'm not doing any operations on this column. It's just running a stored procedure which performs a pretty basic...

This is on .Net 2.0 in a WinForms application. I have a DataGridView that is bound to a BindingSource. The DataGridView has 3 columns. The first two are "normal" text columns and the last is a combo box column. Data binding is working fine for the first two columns. I am able to edit values and persist them back to the bound object and ultimately back to the database.

Hi All :) I'm converting VB6 using True DBGrid Pro 8.0 to VB2005 using DataGridView. True DBGrid has a MultipleLines property that controls whether individual records span multiple lines. Is there an equivalent property for the DataGridView? I have searched, but have not found one. I would like the user to be able to see all the columns of the table on one screen - thus eliminating the need to use the horizontal scroll bar to view...

Application-Generated Column Values in DataGridView on New Record I have a DataGridView which I am using to enter new records to a table with 5 columns/fields. However, values for two of the fields are generated by the program automatically using some algorith (not the database AutoNumber). As such, they should not be entered in the datagrid view. The idea is that when i click a "New Record" button, the corresponding two columns are disabled...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
