I am trying to determine if C# has the capabilities to listen for system
events when the application does not have the window's focus.
I am writing a windows application that I would like to run in the
background when I am using my computer. I would like this windows
application to utilize the clipboard, and determine when data has changed on
the clipboard. I would also like my app to listen for Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V
events, as well as mouse...

I wrote a service that listens for broadcast messages from my firewall (UDP
snmp trap messages) and parses and puts the data in an database.
I'd also like to write an app that is a simple form that can listen in when
it runs (so I can see messages in a form as they occur.)
So I need the ability to listen to a UDP port with two apps at the same time
(the service and my app). But when I do that I get an error:...

I have a Socket server.
Any value I give to the listener.Listen(1) socket, seems that it accept any
connection request... why's that?
I set a sleep on send thread in order to delay the response and I made
another few requests from differend browsers...all requests was accepted and
then the threads resumed, browser received data
I have the below function that start the server listening:
Private Sub StartListening()

In VB.NET 2003, is there a way to create a System.Net.Sockets.UDPClient
to listen to any address AND any port?
I can get it to listen to any address, but only if I specify a port (for
example, port 12345):
'-----------
Dim udpClient as New Sockets.UdpClient(12345)
Dim ipEndPoint as New IPEndPoint(IPAddress.Any, 0)
Dim receiveBytes as Byte()

Hi,
I have been trying to get LISTEN/NOTIFY working in with JDBC. I cannot seem
to get notified. I looked in the e-mail archive and saw a lot of similiar
questions a couple of years ago. I never could find any answers in the
e-mail nor in the documentation. Perhaps I just missed it.
I have tried the following code snipit:
Connection db = DriverManager.getConnection(url, user, passwd);

Either the docs or I are missing something....
While using libpq I noticed that listen/notify calls were being converted to
lowercase. A further look showed that the listen/notify calls seem to be
totally case insensitive:
free4testing=# select version();

I want to bind multiple UDPClients to the same port on the same machine. I
want them to all listen for broadcast messages & respond accordingly.
Multiple client bindings "under normal circumstances" doesn't work (That's
the error I am getting).
But, it seems very reasonable to set up many UDPclients to receive the same
broadcast messages off the same port on the same machine.
Is there some way to passively bind multiple UDPclients...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
