Assume that you would like to create a custom collection class that is:
1. Strongly-typed (only holds Customer objects)
2. Read-only (user cannot add Customer objects)
3. Able to be bound to a winforms datagrid (must implement the IList
interface).
What would be a good way to create this class?
1. The CollectionBase abstract base class can be used, but it is not

I've converted a non-trivial C++ library to managed, and get the following
unhelpful linker error:
Assignment.obj : error LNK2022: metadata operation failed (80131195) : Custom
attributes are not consistent: (0x0c0001a5).
Display.obj : error LNK2022: metadata operation failed (80131195) : Custom
attributes are not consistent: (0x0c000108).
The help for LNK2022 is completely useless:

I am porting an instrumentation tool from linux to Visual C/C++.
We designed the tool to be a replacement for the compiler. The tool takes
c/c++ files and instruments (adds code) and pipes the new code through the
original compiler.
Is there a way in Visual Studio to change the compiler that gets used during
a build, or is it hard-coded to use cl.exe?
Custom build tool doesn't work very well because the user loses the ability

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
